That newly built hotel is named Viet-Uc Hotel (or Vietnamese-Australian Hotel in English) was formally inaugurated in the evening of June 15, 2012, at 144 Hung Vuong Street, Ward 3, Ben Tre City, Ben Tre Province. Former provincial and central government officials and current provincial leaders are among dignitary guests as well as important clients from outside the province present at the inauguration ceremony.
The total sum of investment into the project is said at around 95 billion Vietnamese dongs.

According to ghe project’s owner, the hotel is situated on a large land space of more than 7,000 square meters, facing the Ben Tre River. It is a 9-storied hotel, and internationally rated 3 star, capable of serving almost 900 people at the same time.
According to Mr Luong Thanh Van, the hotel’s chief manager, Viet-Uc Hotel has 74 rooms of various classes, ranging from Superior, Deluxe, Junior and down to Viet–Uc Suite. Each hotel room is furnished with with modern utilities and digital devices such as LCD television set, minibar, air-con, safe, standing or lying bath-tube, and round-the-clock wireless connection.

Especially, the hotel has two restaurants serving Asian and European meals. It also cater with other entertainment such as karaoké, café, tea room, Sunny bar, gym room, souvenir counter, etc and relaxing services such as massage, sauna. All are served in Arabian style. Besides, the hotel also organizes visiting tour to fruit gardens and boating along the river.
“The Viet-Uc Hotel is one more 3-star hotel put into operation in Ben Tre, along with the Ham Luong Hotel, to cater for foreign tourists to Ben Tre. And it is promising to contribute to the various and plentiful development of Ben Tre’s tourism”, said Mr Luong.
